Copenhagen Fashion Week

February’s icy weather doesn’t stop the world’s best dressed from descending on Copenhagen to join the hottest ticket in town – Copenhagen Fashion Week (31 January to 3 February). If you want to be see and be seen in the northern Europe’s most desirable fashion event then this bi-annual celebration is a must. If the actual shows are not your thing then check out the alternative events away from the runway - there are of course parties to attend, exhibitions, shopping events and there will be some live music and DJ events taking place - including street parties.To be part of this simply visit the website for tickets.

Vinterjazz 2017 – Winter Jazz Festival

If cool is what you seek, then make a date with Vinterjazz 2017 (3 -26 February). This winter jazz festival kicks off the calendar with an astounding 600 concerts, three week celebration hosted by 125 venues around Demark, from intimate jazz clubs to the iconic DR Koncerthuset in Copenhagen. There is a mixture of free and paid concerts so no matter your budget you can be part of this annual musical extravaganza. With Herbie Hancock headlining there are so many cool concerts to pick from - don't miss out!

Frost Festival 2017

FROST Festival 2017 (4-26 February) banishes the winter from February with this city-wide music and light installation festival. FROST 17 is a ground-breaking festival that prides itself on creating concerts with a difference! In previous years events have taken place in churches, historic buildings and even an empty swimming pool! If you like your culture cutting-edge then why not walk through the 80-metre sound and light installation taking over the famous city harbour, hear the hottest Danish bands beneath a city centre carpark or be the first to hear live music inside Fasangården, a secret old royal pheasantry in Frederiksberg they have opened to the public for the first time.

Art lovers must check out SMK Statens Museum for Kunst (the National Gallery of Denmark) and catch the premiere of Danish musician Andreas Führer's new collaborative project Andreas Führer Isle of White for free on Friday night.

Visit Copenhagen Zoo

If you like your Valentine’s Day wild then why not go and visit the beasts at Copenhagen Zoo? Not only is this one of Europe’s oldest zoos but it also boasts over 3,000 animals to see first-hand. Perhaps cupid can will aim his arrow at your while you watch the elephants hold trunks in the Norman Foster designed elephant house.  Why not see if love is in the air while you visit the amazing Artic Ring exhibit which includes polar bears and seals, or you can turn up the heat and visit the 1,500m2 tropical zone.

Classical Concerts free from the
Royal Danish Music Conservatory 

If you want to sample classical music at its best then don’t miss out on a chance to see the world famous The Royal Danish Music Conservatory perform every Wednesday in for free.

Go Ice Skating!


Get your skates on! Entrance is FREE to the ice rink at Frederiksberg Runddel by the entrance to the Garden. open now until the end of February. This outdoor ice rink is set up every year for everyone to use, if you don’t have your own skates it’s DKK 50 for an hour. Enjoy!
