Copenhagen Pride Week 2019 arrives this August!

13- 19th August

Who loves to party with the most fun crowd in town? Along with supporting social issues and the LGTB community. Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy Copenhagen Pride Week 2019. This is a great chance to be party of the city’s most diverse celebration and one hell of an outrageous party!
Pride is about celebrating diversity and fun events, alongside serious human rights issues and freedom of expression. The are wild parties, entertaining concerts, some quirky and fun events and of course the most awesome is the Pride Parade that takes place on the Sunday. However there are also plenty of serious debates, and over 80 human rights events taking place, along with BSP - Body and Sex-Positivity.

If you love to party then you won’t want to miss the annual Gay Pride celebration from 13-19th August 2019 in Copenhagen. Come on down to this FREE EVENT and be part of this diverse and fun loving community!

Copenhagen Pride hits a peak with a high-energy parade through some of the city’s coolest areas - this is a highlight for all those celebrating and a great place to join in - in the company of thousands of your newest friends!

Pride is a very special moment in Copenhagen’s crowded party calendar and gives the city a week to celebrate gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender pride and culture, and of course to party! Pride Week 13th-18th August

This year is set to be the largest and artists such as Vivacious, Tina Dico (Tina Dickow), Robin Skouteris, Birthe Kjær and Lydmor will be performing on stage live, alongside Swedish “allsång”, queens, kings, the Salmon of the Year Award and a whole host of other awesome events taking place on the Pride Stage!

The human rights programme is the biggest it has ever been, with plenty of workshops and talks as well as debates all taking place in a safe space.

Pride in Denmark

Every year, thousands of people from all over the Denmark and around the globe come together to be part of this celebration and to address some of the more serious issues affecting the LGTB community. Pride takes place in many cities around the world from Berlin to New York, but Copenhagen is one of the best - we think!! We are also proud to be the official Pride city in 2021! Just wait until we throw that party!

This year’s Pride week kicks off on the 13th August in City Square which is transformed for the event, and with a packed calendar of over 100 concerts, debates, workshops, performances and other events. It hits its peak with the Parade on the 17th - an electric 2.4 mile parade which dances it way through the city's neighbourhoods with colourful dress, big beats and some eye-popping costumes!

Pride Square

Again the City Hall Square is transformed to Pride Square from 13th August with live music acts taking to the stage. Pride Square is also the place to find stall related to LGTB issues and other sponsors and partners, open daily from 12 you can meet LGBT Danmark, AIDS-Fondet, Sabaah, Homoware, Wella, New York Pride, Stolichnaya, Barefoot Wine, LO & FTF and Cock’s & Cows.

Whether you want to join revellers at the Pride Stage partying to a huge array of established and up and coming national and international music stars, or to enjoy the parade there is a world of exciting music, debate, and diversity to celebrate at this year’s Pride.

Be Part of the Fun

Taking part in Pride is FREE, but it is also great to support the cause by buying from the official bars and merchandise, including the wristbands. You can buy an official Copenhagen Pride wrist band, for only 50 Danish Kroner, to access loads of terrific deals and to help support this incredible event which is run by volunteers.

The city is serious about Pride transforming City Hall Square into Pride Square daily during the week-long celebration and provides a great spot for pop up shopping and information and more.

Be part of the extravaganza and join in with the wide choice of events or simply be part of the parade where people dress for fun with high octane outfits and attitudes to match!

Parade Route

The Parade route moves around some of Copenhagen’s coolest areas with street parties around the route from Allégade, Frederiksberg Allé, Vesterbrogade, Hammerichsgade, Jarmers Plads, Vestervoldgade ending at Pride Square (City Hall Square).

Don’t forget the official Copenhagen Pride after party! The perfect place to recover with a hangover on the last day of Pride and chill out with DJ’s, live music, film and ballet.
