If you love to party then you won’t want to miss the annual Gay Pride celebration in our city 16-21st August 2016 which hits a peak with a high-energy parade through some of the city’s coolest areas in the company of thousands of your newest friends. Pride Week


Every year, thousands of people from all over the Denmark and the World, come together to be part of this celebration and to address some of the more serious issues affecting the LGTB community.

This year’s Pride week kicks off on the16 of August with a packed calendar of over 100 concerts, debates, workshops, performances and other events and hits its crescendo on the 20th with an eye-popping 2.4 mile parade which winds, vibrates, and pulses with music and colour through the city.

Pride Stage


Whether you want to join revellers at the Pride Stage partying to a huge array of established and up and coming national and international music stars, want to sing your heart out to the Swedish sing-along show with the audience and stars taking on some of Eurovision’s best-loved songs, will catch a glimpse of the city’s highlights aboard a gay boat trip or feel lucky and want to join drag-bingo at the National Museum - there is a world of exciting music, debate, and diversity to celebrate at this year’s Pride.

Be part of the extravaganza


You can buy an official Copenhagen Pride wrist band, for only 50 Danish Kroner, to access loads of terrific deals and to help support this incredible event.

The city is serious about Pride transforming City Hall Square into Pride Square daily during the week-long celebration and provides a great spot for pop up shopping and information and more.

Be part of the extravaganza and join in with the wide choice of events or simply be part of the parade where people dress for fun with high octane outfits and attitudes to match!

Parade Route


The Parade route moves around some of Copenhagen’s coolest areas with street parties around the route from Allégade, Pile Allé, Vesterbrogade, Hammerichsgade, Jarmers Plads, Vester Voldgade ending at Pride Square.

Don’t forget the official Copenhagen Pride afterparty, just two minutes’ walk from Pride Square and After Pride in Tivoli, the perfect place to recover with a hangover on the last day of Pride and chill out with DJ’s, live music, film and ballet at the iconic Tivoli Gardens.
