Copenhagen Downtown is pleased to announce we have finished our makeover on our dormitory rooms - check out our cool new retro rooms at Copenhagen Downtown! Just when you thought our hostel couldn’t get any better - we’ve gone and made our dorm rooms even cooler with our signature vintage style!
With reclaimed furniture and vintage items from Berlin, industrial strength bunks so you’re secure, individual lights, privacy, sinks in all the rooms, clothes hooks, lockers beneath the beds with plenty of space - we did it all for you! We also have super comfy beds so you’ll get a good night’s sleep. So not only do they look great, but they’re practical too! And we can’t wait for you to come and see them.

Our Style
We love our retro vintage style and it seems to work great for you too! The hostel bar and communal areas, as well as our cool basement venue, are all based on our cool retro style with a modern twist. We use reclaimed wood and furniture for all decor, and original vintage furniture to make our place look great and be comfortable for our guests. We love colour and wanted to bring the rooms to life - choose your style - whether it’s our vintage train carriages, 50’s glamour boudoir or whether you’re stepping into some good old Scandinavian 70’s retro!
Our Selection of Rooms
We have 88 rooms in all different sizes so there is enough choice for shared and private rooms to suit every guest and every budget. There are private rooms for up to five people - ideal if you traveling alone, as a couple, or with friends or family and have ensuite bathrooms. All our shared rooms have sinks in the rooms and the female only room has hairdryers and a cool dressing room style. We also have cool Scandinavian designer bunks - perfect to feel like you’re in Denmark! All our private rooms overlook the historic fountain on Vandkunsten Square, built in the 1910 and a real oasis in the city.
What’s your Style?
We’ve worked hard on coming up with great ideas to make our rooms the best for modern travelers. Did you want to stay in the girl’s boutique boudoir? It’s a 1950’s classic dressing room complete with mirrors and hair dryers. Or do you like our classic train room? You’ll feel like you’re in a real train carriage. Or maybe you’ll love our 70’s retro sunshine room? It’s definitely got style and we think you’ll wake up with a smile on your face! We also are working on more rooms, such as our Copenhagen themed room - expect a nautical feel!
