Watch the FIFA World Cup Final with us at Copenhagen Downtown Hostel!
Where are you watching the biggest event of 2018? We're not talking about Wimbledon Tennis finals, we're talking about the FIFA World Cup 2018 where France and Croatia will battle it out for 90 minutes to claim the Jules Rimet trophy and be celebrated as the best football team in the world!! There will also be the play offs this Saturday for 3rd and 4th places for England and Belgium who both lost their semi-final matches. The two teams already met on their way to the semis and were defeated this week in tense matches that had the world glued to their TVs!
Whoever wins the World Cup Final 2018 we know one thing for sure - the atmosphere at Copenhagen Downtown Hostel will be electric! We will of course have the best Happy Hour drink offers in town and will be showing the matches on our large screen TVs. We also have such an international crowd that you are bound to make friends with your neighbours and find fellow supporters to enjoy the match with, whichever side you are supporting. With great vibes and a lot of cheering, we can't wait to watch the World Cup Final with you!!!
Allez Les Blues!
The famous French tour de force has played a great game to get this far in the competition. The side is very strong and has been a favourite with the betting shops since the first whistle! With their defeat of Belgium last week, will they have the impetus and strength to plough on and crush Croatia on the field? The team definitely has a lot of experience with lots of international world class players on their side and plenty of support from their fans. They have also won the World Cup several times and don't seem phased by the pressure of the final - somewhere they've been a few times before!
Croatia Comes Good
Croatia was looking like an unlikely finalist in the early matches of the tournament and are definitely the underdogs in this Final. They just squeezed in a win against England after a well played fiery game and will be looking to play with passion and enthusiasm to try to overtake the French side. The Croatian team and supporters are so excited to get this far in the competition they might just have the fire and passion to take it home. There are definitely some talented players to look out for if they can play well. Let's see who wins!!
The Play Offs
After being defeated in the Semi Finals, England and Belgium have to face each other again, to decide who takes 3rd and 4th place. This match might be exciting for those nationalities, but we suspect that now they are not in the final, they just want to forget about it all! After all they both had very disapointing losses this week, with the whole country heartbroken on Wednesday and Thursday after the matches.
The Final
Whatever the outcome of the matches, we know that it will be a great afternoon at Copenhagen Downtown Hostel. You never know, if the matches go to extra time, or even the dreaded penalty shoot out!!! then we will still be rocking out the cold beers and great cocktail offers.
