This is Lyndsey, from Denver Colorado. Back home she works at a micro-brewery, but right now she’s traveling around in Europe.

Hi Lyndsey! What are you doing in Copenhagen?
I’m just exploring Europe, and Copenhagen is one of my stops. I leave tomorrow morning to go to Germany, and so far I’ve been to Iceland, Norway, and Sweden.

How do you like the city so far?
I love it. This has been my favorite stop, together with Reykjavik. There are so many young people, a great bike system, and a cool working class culture that I didn’t really find in the other Scandinavian cities.

Are you enjoying your stay with us at Copenhagen Downtown Hostel?
Yes, I really do! I really like the common area, and how it’s also open to the public. It seems like a lot of locals hang out here, which is such a great way for travelers and danish people to interact with each other.

What is your favorite thing about Copenhagen?
It’s a beautiful city, especially when the sun is shining. It has really cool architecture and is a really aesthetically appealing city. Really great to walk around in.

Do you have any places you’d like to recommend in Copenhagen?
I liked Nyhavn a lot, it had a lot of cute little restaurants and cafes. And a bar around the corner from the hostel called Zefside, it has great cocktails.

What was the funniest thing that happened in Copenhagen?
Hmmm.. One of my days here I ran into two girls from New York. They were going to a place called Dome of Visions, and I went with them there. It’s a giant pop-up greenhouse, that is movable and works as a collaborative art space. A guy was playing an electronic folk music gig, which was really weird and awesome. The space also has yoga classes, a coffee shop, and a space for people to just go to hang out.

What’s the biggest difference between Copenhagen and Denver?
Denver is much more inexpensive. People are a little more open, and there are  lots of things happening all the time. Oh, and the mountains of course.

Hey Lyndsey, thanks for staying with us and for sharing your story! We hope you have the best time for the rest of your trip!
